Celebrating #worldemojiday with Pepsi was a bunch of fun. I headed to Foxwoods with fellow Boston Blogger Georgina Castellucci of A Noted Life for a weekend of fun, sun, pool parties, and of course emojis. Each Pepsi features an emoji (hundreds of different Pepsimojis) that make it ultra sharable with a friend to cheer up their day or to simply perk up your own day with a smiley face or heart. With so many choices, I picked up a smiley face bottle because we need more smiles in the world and emojis are the universal language.

Georgina picked me up in sweet ride and we headed from Boston to Foxwoods rocking out to 90’s jams the entire way. If you don’t follow either of us on snapchat, I suggest you change that immediately. @SimkoSay & @BostonGeorgina. The Pepsi setup for #worldemojiday was awesome complete with a giant inflatable slide, games like flip cup and corn hole, and my ultimate dream come true... Plinko! As soon as I laid eyes on that giant Plinko game I just KNEW I had to play immediately. While I didn’t win cash, I did pick up a really sweet Pepsi towel that I used around the pool during the Liquid Sunday Pool Party. Along with games, the area was set up with a bar (naturally) and was the perfect pre-game for the pool party where we sure did party for the rest of the day.

Liquid Sunday is an EDM pool party at the Fox Tower pool that combines a Miami and Vegas feel in the middle of Connecticut. Georgina and I were lucky to find chairs next to each other at the pool as even shortly after the doors opened, the pool was already packed. The DJ(s) spun the hottest EDM mixes of top 40 songs and the vibe and energy were infectious. One of the coolest parts of the party was the giant pool floats including a swan, turtle, and my favorite, the flamingo. I grabbed my Pepsi and bolted toward that waiting flamingo before anyone else could jump on it. I felt like a prince floating around the pool, perched high, while everyone danced around me. It was a great crowd that was fun, but never too rowdy.

Hanging out with Pepsi on #worldemojiday was the perfect way to celebrate our new universal language. Pepsi has launched over 600 proprietary emojis and even has their own Pepsimoji keyboard available for download. I’m currently on the lookout for the rainbow heart Pepsimoji on Diet Pepsi bottles. If anyone finds it, send it my way!

Pepsi provided pool party admission, lodging, and compensation in exchange for social media coverage of #worldemojiday. Thoughts and opinions are my own.
